Grief & Loss Counseling

Grief is not a problem to be solved. It is love with nowhere to go, and it deserves room to be felt.

There is no right way to grieve

We are often told that time heals all wounds, that grief moves in tidy stages, that we should be further along by now. None of that is true. Grief is not linear, and it does not keep a schedule. It can arrive in waves, long after everyone else has moved on.

Loss is not only about death. It can follow the end of a relationship, a career, a dream, a version of your future you were counting on. Whatever you are grieving is worthy of being honored.

If you are in immediate crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7. You deserve support right now.

Walking alongside you

I will not try to fix your grief or hurry you past it. My work is to walk with you through it, to hold space for whatever you are carrying, and to let your mourning be as large as your love.

In time, and without forcing it, we begin to explore what it means to carry this loss forward, and how to find your way toward a life that still holds meaning, even changed. You do not have to grieve alone.

Common questions

How soon after a loss should I reach out?
There is no wrong time. Some people come in the first raw weeks, others years later when the grief resurfaces. Whenever you are ready is the right time.
Can grief counseling happen online?
